There is going to be a re-run and it will be between the two leading candidates. Akufo – Addo won 4,159,429 votes which is 49.13 percent of the vote, against Atta Mill’s 4,056,634, which is 47.92 percent. Neither of the candidates got the 50 percent needed for an outright win. Kwesi Nduom of convention people’s party (CPP) came third with 1.3 percent of the ballot. The run-off has been fixed for December 28. Full Story
