EKPOMA - The vice-chancellor of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma-Edo State, Prof. Daniel Aigbomian KSM JP has expressed gratitude to the governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on his pledge to take AAU to its pride of place.
Prof. Aigbomian who stated this in an interview on their victory at the appeal court and subsequent swearing in, said Comrade Oshiomhole’s promise to make the university a pride of place during his inauguration was a pointer to the school’s expection.
while rejoicing with the the governor and the Edo State Action Congress, he said his victory at the April polls gubernatorial Elections Petitions Tribunal and the Federal Appeal Court were vindications of his (Oshiomhole’s) belief in the mandate of the people which according to him must not be wished away by any circumstance.
He expressed confidence that Comrade Oshiomhole 25 track records, including his past endeavors and knack for excellence would bring about monumental development in Edo State in general and the University in particular, adding that the combination of the People’s Governor and the Deputy Governor would certainly produce the expected winning team that would lead Edo State to the promise land.
The vice-chancellor pledged that the university management on its part would justify the special relationship between the governor and university through judicious applications of resources, best practices and excellence in the running of the affairs of the University.
The AAU chief executive also expressed joy with the appointment of Hon. Pally Iriase, a one time staff of AAU as the Secretary to the Edo State Government, by the governor, saying it is in recognition of his track records as a one time staff of the university, banker and member and deputy speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, as well as Chairman of Owan East Local Government council.
