By Henry Agbeso

FLIPPING is the name given to the act of making quick profit by buying a property, then selling it straight away for more, often between exchange and completion, avoiding stumping up any more than a five per cent deposit. Younger Looking Skin

Age gracefully with these ten tips for keeping younger looking skin
Learn how to stay younger, look younger and keep it through these tips.

But, what is the real key to younger looking skin? With all of the creams, treatments, and surgeries available you might be surprised.

Yes, there are steps you can take to get younger looking skin and keep it without resorting to plastic surgery or chemical peels through bleaching or as the case maybe.

Some of the best solutions for younger skin come from leaving a healthy lifestyle and improving your skin’s appearance from the inside out.

By the time you reach your 20s, and definitely in the decades that follow, your skin will begin to reveal what type of lifestyle you are living.

Of course, some changes may be related to your genes. But take heart… the choices you make today can lead to younger looking skin tomorrow.
Here are my top 10 ways to get younger looking skin…

Sun Protection
Avoid long hours in the hot sun. While the sun is necessary for good health and should be your primary source of vitamin D, you must protect your skin if working or playing outside for an extended length of time. Like many things in life, the key to enjoying the sun is moderation.

Wear loose-fitting, long sleeved shirts and a wide brimmed hat to avoid getting burned. Some sunscreens contain chemicals that can actually be harmful to your health. So when necessary choose a broad-spectrum, chemical-free sunscreen.

Balanced Diet
Take a good look at your eating habits. Good eating habits result in a healthy body… and beautiful skin. Keeping a low-fat and low-sugar diet slows down skin aging.

Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to help reduce stress, delay aging, and strengthen your immune system.

Fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants include blueberries, tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli while oranges and grapefruits are great sources of vitamin C.

Exercise
Exercise regularly. This is not been over emphasized as you would recall that I did stress on exercising regularly on this page last week. It’s a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and it helps keep your skin looking younger. Physical activity increases circulation, which in turn boosts your skin’s ability to cleanse itself of toxins and absorb nutrients. Exercise is also one of the best ways to reduce stress.

Avoid Smoking
Throw away the cigarettes. Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. It narrows the tiny blood vessels in your skin, decreasing blood flow.

This decreased blood flow depletes your skin of the oxygen and nutrients necessary to maintain healthy skin. Smoking also damages the collagen and fibbers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. So -aids” stop smoking today.

Sleep
Get plenty of quality sleep. It’s a must for younger looking skin and overall health. Getting at least 8 hours nightly is an old and faithful beauty tip that encourages vibrant, younger skin. While sleeping, your body goes into healing mode, repairing body tissues and organs, including your skin.

Avoid Stress
Take control over the stress in your life. Your skin is directly connected to your emotions and stress level. Avoiding and relieving stress may be one of the most effective skin care remedies available.

Some skin conditions are particularly sensitive to stress, including acne, eczema, psoriasis and cold sores. You may have noticed that breakouts tend to occur just before an important event. Then, when you go on a relaxing vacation your skin condition magically improves.

Limit Alcohol
Don’t overdo it. Too much alcohol can damage blood vessels over time, leading to permanently flushed skin or visible blood vessels on your skin’s surface. Alcohol can make your body and skin dehydrated, leaving your skin looking old and tired. Thus, if you ask me, I would say, avoid alcohol completely. It’s possible but if you must drink, then here’s a helpful tip: Have a non-alcoholic drink like soda water or watery fruit juice in between the alcoholic ones to help your body rehydrate.

Drink Water
Drink plenty of water. It not only makes the inside of your body more efficient, it also allows healthy skin to shine through. Water is the building block in every cell in the human body.

When you are properly hydrated, wrinkles appear softened and are less noticeable. Skin is clearer and more radiant because the water you drink carries out toxins from your body.

Moisturize
Use a good moisturizer regularly. This becomes very important once you reach your late 20s or early 30s. Moisturizing helps your skin maintain its natural moisture levels. It seals in the water already in your skin or slowly releases water into your skin to protect it from harsh weather.

Exfoliate Your Skin
Exfoliate to help remove dead skin cells that weigh down and suffocate aging skin. This improves skin moisture and boosts the activity of skin-protecting antioxidants. There are many exfoliation products at the market, but here’s a simple one to try as advised by a renowned beautician in lagos.

Mix together equal amounts of coarsely ground dry oatmeal (uncooked) and ground cinnamon. A few teaspoons will usually suffice for your face. Add a few drops of honey then rub the mixture gently into your skin with your fingertips in circular motions. Rinse with lukewarm water. This works great at a fraction of the cost of commercial preparations.

Smile always!
Keep a smile on your face. Your face tends to conform to the position or expression you carry most of the time. Frowning is more likely to produce lines and wrinkles. A smiling, pleasant, relaxed expression will help keep you looking younger – and make you more pleasant to be around as a bonus.
