Don’t Rush Olympic Eagles ... Amokachi Warns

Daniel Amokachi has warned that it would not be right to rush members of the Olympic team into the Super Eagles.

Amokachi told KickOffNigeria.com that they team and players may have done well, but they should grow steadily into the senior national team.

“All of them have stood out so there will be no need for me to name any player here. It was never a one man show but team work,” Amokachi told KickOff Nigeria. com.

“From what happened at the Olympic Games you will see that the players have proved that they can play at the highest level and they do not need to prove anything to any one.

“If any of them is given the chance, I think that person may not disappoint but they must take it easy.
“People mention how strong Adeleye was in defence, but in considering him for the Eagles starting line up he has to contend with Danny Shittu, Joseph Yobo and Obinna Nwaneri and the same applies to every other player in the Olympic team.

“What I am saying is that they will have to work hard to get into the Eagles because it will not just be a stroll in the park.”
