LONDON –Arsenal play host to the Portuguese team FC Porto Match day 2 of the UEFA Champions League today at the Emirates Stadium in England.
The Gunners who are campaigning in Group G had an impressive start in the Match Day one on September, 17 in which they got a 1-1 draw with Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine.
The Portuguese giant, FC Porto visit Arsenal FC hoping to end a sad sequence of results on English soil.
The Portuguese champions have lost away to the English sides in each of the last four UEFA Champions League campaigns as they fell to Liverpool last season and before that Arsenal (2006/07) and Chelsea (2006/07) and 2004/05).
Whether they can get their first win in England at the eleventh attempt remains the big question but the early Group G leaders are in England with their confidence lifted by a 3-1 home triumph against the Turkish team, Fernerbahce SK on Match day one.
Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has boasted that his boys will not leave anything to chance.
