BENIN CITY – Edo State government has given approval to 20 pools promoters to operate pools betting business this week in the state.

They are Rocky Pools Limited, Soccer Pools Limited, Flash Pools limited, Victino Pools Limited, Jubilee Pools Limited and Perfect Pools limited.

Others are Destiny Pools Limited, Mars Pools Limited, Wesco Pools Limited, Bolton Pools Limited, Arsenal Pools Limited land Authentic Pools Limited.

Also on the list are J-Res Pools Limited, Uwanosa Pools Limited, Ehimama Pools Limited, Wigan Pools Limited, Portsmouth Pools Limited and Benco Pools Limited.

However, three pools promoters were barred from operating Pools betting business this week for indebtedness to the state government. They include New Niger Pools Limited, Felisco Pools Limited and C.B.A Pools Limited.

A statement signed by Dr. Osayande Ugiagbe, Permanent Secretary/Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue, said that anyone who transacted pools betting business with the barred promoters, did so at his own risk.

The statement stated that the approved commission for pools betting was 40k according to the extant rule son pools betting and that there is no bonanza in the state noting that any pools promoters who transacted pools betting business illegally would be prosecuted.
