Varsity Graduates 3,571

 

ILORIN- Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, Vice-Chancellor of University of Ilorin , has said 3,571 graduates would be awarded degrees and certificates for the 2007/2008 academic session.


Oloyede, who briefed newsmen in Ilorin on the activities to mark the 24th convocation of the institution, said five of them had first class degrees.


He said 196 of the awardees were from the college of medicine, 987 from the sciences and 838 from business and the social sciences.


Others were 150 from the faculty of agriculture, 297 from Arts, 687 from education, 252 from technology, and 164 from law.


The convocation lecture , “ Worldwide University Ranking: For whom by who?”, he said, would be delivered on Tuesday by the immediate past Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Peter Okebukola. The convocation would hold on Thursday, he said.
