LONDON - Emmanuel Adebayor believes that if Arsenal are to end their silverware drought then they need to show added desperation and hunger.
Arsenal had to overcome a resilient West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground over the weekend and eventually triumphed with a 2-0 scoreline.
Togolese targetman Emmanuel Adebayor, though, insists that if Arsenal are to lift a trophy at the end if this season, then they need to increase the sense of desperation in their game.
“People like how we play, but at the end of the day playing nice is good but a trophy is better,” Adebayor is quoted by British tabloid the Mirror as saying.
“A League Cup is not good enough for us, of course not. A team like us - the squad, players and fans - deserve more.
“We must enjoy it more when we play, but also we need more hunger - to give more than what we have been doing,” he added.
