Beyond the enigmatic triumph of an ambitious orphan to the American white House as President, beyond the racial terrain, he emerged from to be the 44th American President as a black man, beyond the political pedigree in which the president – elect arouse from, spanning less than twenty years, beyond the one stroke trial at the presidency of the obviously only superpower or world police, Barack Obama’s victory over John Mccain of the Republic Party proves a point for the American democracy. No political god-fathers installed or took the president – elect from the dust to make him who he is today. He did not get the presidency by who he knows, The America kind of democracy provided the enviable platform for Barack Obama, who has an African black man from Kenya as a father and an American white lady as a mother, to venture the uphill task of aspiring to the presidency of America. The good will of all Americans, whatever the skin complexion gave him an unprecedented overwhelming support over John McCain, a pure blooded Whiteman. Barack Obama’s victory goes to prove a point that now, the American democracy is articulately pragmatic indeed. That is to say that the Americans have begun to operate a pragmatic democracy.

This is a democracy that break yokes which held good brains bound. The fetter that the American democracy has broken is a confirmation of Abraham Lincoln’s declaration that all men are created equal, no matter the colour of the skin.

The emergence of Barack Obama as the president-elect of America on the 4th November, 2008, will sure give the American social scientists a new thinking and theory formulation task of the composition of the American society. Now, is there a limit to the ambition and aspiration of any constitutionalized citizen of America who CAN offer the best to fellow Americans vis-a-vis the outside world? If Barack Obama had lived indecently, passionately and faithlessly, he would not have passed through nomination stage. But he had lived before now to be a man of integrity and probity who can be trusted. His best subject has been America and not where he had a descent. The step of faith to the presidency of America is the kind of faith Jesus Christ expected His followers to have when He said, “If you have faith, you can move mountains, nothing will be impossible for you. This is the kind of faith that Barack Obama demonstrated ingoing for the presidency once, and he grabbed it. He has become a symbol of hope for many who always see impossibilities, odds, ‘I cannot’ in everything, those who always see bleak future and have no reason to believe in a better and greater, tomorrow because of where who and what they are today and since yesterday.

Barack Obama’s victory has just concretized a major point to many who are forlorn in hope. The point is, when you have an ambition, set a goal and move by faith to achieve your ambition through legitimate means, and you will make it. But the faithless and hopeless will readily say, it is not possible, I cannot do it, I have no one to help me, etc. Any fellowship with these kind of people will keep one prostrate forever, but the interaction with “Obamanism” will make a tremendous positive change in anyone’s life. Therefore, it is only rational to move and associate with faith and hope builders and not with destroyers.

It is none issue where Barack Obama’s father came from. He may not have been there all his life. What every American is looking forward to in Obama is with his campaign promises to govern, to better the lots of the Americans., how much can he achieve? How far will he go with those promises? Will he deliver or will he not deliver? Because Barack Obama is not an examination cheat, never aided and abetted any dubiety. He has the confidence that his real intelligence, integrity and probity will not fail him. He had depended on them in the past, he made it meritoriously, so the presidency of America is just one of the subjects he will excel in also.

He knows how he had worked hard in other subject , so he know show much everyone world over expect from him as the president of the United States of America.

With Barack Obama in the presidency of America, base on integrity, probity and on popular votes, not through rigging and subversion of electoral processes, the other democracies in the world, especially Africa, should learn worthy lesson from the American democratic operation.

At the emergence of Obama, the Republic never engage in thuggery, use of incumbency power, there was no arson and assassination of political opponents. There was no political victimization of the opponents. Barack Obama’s strongest contender during nomination, Hilary Chinton, did not carry the banner screaming “male chauvinism against feminine gender, instead, on losing nomination, she threw her full weight behind Obama to emerge as president and it worked fine for the Democrats. John McCain heavily congratulated Barack Obama for his convincing victory and offer to be of help to him whenever he needs him. That was politics without bitterness, that is politics where dupes, fraudsters, examination cheats, and the like are not celebrated to lead Americans in any capacity. If Americans especially Nigerians can inject ideals into our politicians, the Late Adedibus, the John Aduns, the Andy Ubas, the Olusegun Obasanjos, the Arthur Francis Nzeribes, the Samuel Ogbemudias and the Tony Anenihs will not be king makers any more. The American president-elect, Barack Obama is not a product of those who make politics to be defined as a dirty game, but a product of popular votes, just the way the Edo State Governorship and House of Assembly Election petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court sitting in Benin City let the world know that Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole was a product of popular votes and not a product of any so called godfather on the 11th November, 2008. We need a new political atmosphere in our polity as is the current trend in the American democracy.

After the votes have been cast and Barack Obama emerged as the president-elect, the Americans will have to go beyond this level to provide impenetrable security for the president.

The white racists who have made several attempts to eliminate Obama before his emergence should be enormously curtailed. They should not be allowed to beat the American security to shoot at or even wound the president or do anything funny to his wife and children. It is high time that this flaw in American security be overcame. It is scandalous . The white racists should be imported from savagery society to a more affectionate society which the American society has been made to be just of recent. After all, America is called a land of freedom and opportunities. It is not for nothing.
