Renovation Work At Oredo Council Secretariat Gets Speedy Attention

 


THE on-going renovation work at the Oredo Local Government Council Secretariat has continued to make remarkable progress with the present laying of floor tiles in all the offices.


The renovation work which is a total overhaul of the entire secretariat facility, is expected to be completed and ready for commissioning soon.


Chairman, Oredo Local Government Council, Hon. Mike Nosa-Ehima, after an inspection of the on-going renovation work, reiterated the determination of his administration to provide a conducive atmosphere for improved staff welfare to guarantee optimal on-the-job performance.


Hon. Nosa-Ehima stressed the importance of a conducive working environment to the increased productivity of the workforce, and urged the contracted to complete the renovation on time and to specifications.


The council chairman explained that the renovation work was not only on the outside of the building, but equally on the inside, where plumbing and toilet systems are receiving attention. The decaying ceilings, electrical fittings, window seal, blinds and doors are equally receiving attention.


Hon. Nosa-Ehima commended the cooperation of the entire council staff and noted that he had implicit confidence in their ability to assist in the realization of his administration’s set goals.


The council boss maintained that the on-going renovation would be a total turn around of the secretariat complex and assured that when completed, it would truly be an edifice to behold.


Hon. Nosa-Ehima promised to put a touch of class in all projects executed by his administration, and noted that as a metropolitan local government area, Oredo could not afford to get anything less, in terms of quality and standard.


Speaking during the chairman’s inspection exercise, the supervisor of the Tiles Laying Unit, Dellarck Limited, the contractors handling the project, Engineer Joseph Egbeoku, assured on the quality of materials used and insisted that the job would be completed right on time and according to specifications.
