H.R.H.,The Aidonogie of South Ibie Kingdom, Alhayi Kelvin Aliyu Danesi has urged the people of Edo State to support the Adams Oshiomhole administration as the only way to development in the state.
The Aidonogie of South Ibie kingdom made this know when he paid an unscheduled visit to The WEEKEND OBSERVER and spoke with newsmen due to a publication carried by the medium on Tuesday 25 of November 2008.
Reacting to the publication with the headline “ Aidonogie lauds Oshiomhole’s Electoral Victory” he said that he (Alhaji Kelvin Aliyu Danesi) is the true Aidonogie not Alhaji Momodu Inusah Umoru as he claimed in the report.
Speaking further on the development, he said that the past government have resolved the conflict of who become the Aidonogie between the Ogietor and Danesi ruling family
And to this end, on May 22 1999, I was given the staff of office as well as a fresh letter of appointment based on the court ruling that disqualified the Ogietor family as they are not the ones to produce the Aidonogie of the kingdom. The Ogietor family has already had their own turn and now is our turn.
He said in his words” I recall in 1958, my father (the father of Alhaji Kelvin) Aliyu Danesi was dethrone for his father (the father of Alhaji Momodu Insah) Umoru to be enthrone . And the excuse was that my father was not educated . We waited for 45 years before it got to our turn. So now is our turn what is the problem?
On the issue of publication in the media, the Aidonogie of South Ibie kingdom, HRH Alhaji Kelvin Aliyu Danesi instruct newsmen to always certify any report that concerns the kingdom from him before publication as he is the true ruler of the land.
He used the medium to appeal to the government of Oshiomhole to help bring development to his kingdom as they lack infrastructural development like water, electricity and the schools in the area are dilapidated. When this needs are meant my people will be happy he concluded.
