OPOJI – The formal handing-over of a 500 KVA transformer to Chairman of Esan Central Local Government Council, Barr. Emmanuel Agbale, by HRH Godfrey Ehidiamen II, the Onojie of Opoji, that was earlier donated by the NDDC to the authority of Esan Central Local Government Council, took place over the weekend.

Presenting the transformer, the Onojie of Opoji said that past regimes could not attract this laudable achievement during their tenure and urged the newly sworn-in chairman to match words with action and ensure that the transformer is put into use for the benefiting community.

Receiving the item from the Onojie of Opoji, the council boss, Hon. Agbale promised to perfect arrangements, with a view to installing the transformer within the shortest time possible and appealed to the benefiting community to guard it against vandals.

Also speaking, the leader of the PDP in Esan Central Local Government Area, Chief (Dr.) Francis Inegbeniki expressed gratitude for the fatherly role being exhibited by the Onojie of Opoji and sued for its sustenance while wishing him God’s divine wisdom, good health and longevity on the throne.

Dignitaries who witnessed the ceremony include the SLG, Hon. Theophilus Oseiga, the House Leader, Hon. Steve Okougbo as well as the DPM, Mr. O. P. Ahiokhai among others.
