EKPOMA – The 6th Annual Diocesan Mothers’ Union and Women’s Guild Conference of the Diocese of Esan has ended with a charge on Christians, especially women to continue to serve God willingly and cheerfully at all times.
The wife of the bishop of the Diocese, Mrs. T.A Imaekhai made the call in an address during the conference which took place at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Eguare-Ekpoma at the weekend.
Speaking on the theme: “Freedom in Christ”, Mrs. Imaekhai who is the Dioceses president of mothers’ union and women’s guild, noted that jeans Christ is the author of freedom.
’Man, she said was headed in bondage in all spheres of life, noting that Christians and non-Christians are in the world of rapid scientific discoveries and technological development. She added that some of these changes had no perversion of biblical ethical teaching.
Mrs. Imaekhai while admonishing Christians to continually seek the face of God through Jesus Christ, disclosed that Jesus Christ was the only genuine way to obtain perfect freedom.
The four-day conference was attended by an array of personalities, including the Chief of Staff to Edo State government, Hon. Isiah Osifo who was the chief launcher of the occasion, the bishop of the diocese, the Rt. Revd. Friday John Imaekhai, and the chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Felix Akhabue, among others.
