Rock Foundation Lift Dr Ogbemudia Cup

BENIN CITY ––Rock–Foundation FC has emerged the winners of the 6th edition of Dr. S.O. Ogbemudia Cup which was concluded over the weekend here in the state capital.

Rock Foundation defeated their male counterparts from Orhionmwon LG 5-4 via penalty shootout after a barren regulation time.

In the female category, Orhionmwon LG team walloped Magic Queens from Oredo 3-0 in the final.
Over 17 teams from Edo, Delta, Lagos States and 17 local government teams of Owan East, Ovia South West, Orhionmwon, Esan Central, Etsako Central, Owan West, paokicipated in the week-long tournament organized by FEYSOC as part of Dr. Ogbemudia’s 76th birthday celebration.

It will be recalled that Dr. S.O. Ogbemudia was the first life patron of FEYSOC and donated the trophy in 1990 with Unueru Bombers as the first winners with Comrade Moses Agbonlahor in charge.
