Nigerian Breweries Institutes Award For Journalists

 

Asaba - There has been a 150 per cent increase in the price of fresh tomatoes in some major towns in Delta.
  Reports say  that the price of tomatoes has increased from N400 for a bucket full of the product to N1,000 in the last two weeks in Delta.Some of the tomatoes sellers, who spoke with newsmen attributed the increase in the price of tomatoes, to reduction in the production of the commodity.
 .


Electricity Consumers In Calabar Owe PHCN N380m

 

Calabar - The Calabar Business Unit of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) in Cross River State is owed N380 million by electricity consumers in the area.

  Of this amount according to the Business Manager of the unit, Mr Oliver Ezeugwu, the military and police owe N193 million while other federal government agencies and domestic customers owe N187 million.

Boat Operators Warned Against Lifting Pirates

Fashion Designer Calls For Speedy Renovation Of Textile Industries

Asaba - The Chairman of Fashion Designing Association in Asaba, Mr Rufai Kolawole, has called on the Federal Government to ensure the speedy revamping of the textile companies in the country.
  Kolawole told newsmen in Asaba that revamping the textile industry would promote patronage of local materials and reduce the importation syndrome in our society.
  He said the high cost of materials was affecting the fashion designing industry.
