IGUOBAZUWA - The Special Adviser to the governor on Sanitation and Beautification and Chairman Task Force on Operation Clean up Edo State, Hon. (Mrs) Pat Adamu has called on landlords, tenants and members of every household to ensure that collection and disposal of refuse generated by them are properly organised and disposed off into the final waste bin.
She made the call during the inauguration of the Ovia South West chapter of the task force on operation clean up Edo State which took place at the Iguobazuwa administrative headquarters of the local government.
She said that the objective of operation clean up Edo State as conceptuslised by the Executive Governor of the state, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor by way of the removal of sand and weed from roads in the Benin metropolitan should be spread across every nooks and crannies in the state.
While noting that the inauguration of the Ovia South West chapter of the Task Force was the land mark of a good service delivery to the people by the present administration, the chairman urged the newly recruted workers in the local government council to do their jobs with zeal.
Hon. Adamu, however said that cleanliness was part of our culture, adding that the government would require the full support of everyone to transform our environment.
She warned task force workers to abide by the code of conduct urging them to live a good example.
While describing the local government as a pace setter in the implementation of the laudable pregramme, the chairman congratulated the leadership of the council for its commitment to service delivery
The chairman who criticised indecent dressing among workers, advised them to be kitted before leaving their various homes for their respective duty posts.
The chairman of the local government who commended the task force chairman for the achievements recorded in recent times appealed to Governor Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor for the quick release of the Tipper lorry in order to boost the morale of the local government.
