LG To Partner With Edo NUJ

IDOGBO-Chairperson, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Council Edo State, Hon. (Mrs.) Itohan Osahon has expressed the council’s desire to partner with the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the overall interest of the state.


According to her, the leadership of the union has been above board since assumption of office in 2006.


The council boss in her remark when the Executive Officers of the NUJ paid her a courtesy call at Idogbo, the council’s headquarters applauded journalists in the state for their high sense of professionalism as well as their support to her administration.


While promising to provide the union with a bus to aid journalists in performing their duties, she remarked that her administration placed emphasis on workers welfare.


Chairman of NUJ, Otunba Mike Aladenika who led the delegation while congratulating the council boss on her victory at the Local Government Election Appeal Tribunal, said the council’s administration has done well so far.


He sued for the councils partnership with the NUJ for the interest of the society.
