BENIN CITY - The pay parade and payment for all pensioners receiving Federal share of pension through Community Bank and distressed/failed banks started yesterday, at the Edo State Pensions Board, 17A, Central Road, G.R.A, Benin City.
According to a statement signed by F.O. Ewansiha, Secretary, Edo State Pension Board for the Permanent Secretary/Chairman, the exercise is expected to run between Monday, November 3, and Saturday, November 8, 2008, beginning at 9.00 am till 4.00 p.m daily.
While Edo South was scheduled to take its turn on Monday and Tuesday the statement added that Edo Central had been scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday to be followed by Edo North on Friday and Saturday.
The statement further explained that all affected pensioners were to come along with the original copy of their letters of first appointment or gazette publication, letter of last promotion or gazette publication, letter of retirement from service, Pension Authority and Pension Identity Card.
A team of officers from the office of the Head of Service of the Federation in Abuja is expected to conduct the exercise.
