Edo Gov stresses importance of peace, security

BENIN CITY – The new Assistant Inspector-General of Police Zone 5, Mr. Suleman Fakai yesterday paid his maiden visit to the Edo State Governor Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor at the Government House, Benin City.

Receiving the AIG, the governor said the state government has been doing and would always do her best to encourage the security agencies in the state, especially as security, peace, law and order were very important in any community.

Prof. Osunbor identified government assistance in form of incentives and logistics to the police as well as involvement of individuals and corporate bodies as means of maintaining security.

While urging Mr. Fakai to sustain the harmonious relationship existing among all the security agencies in the state, the governor also wished him a pleasant tour of duty in the zone.
