BENIN CITY- The Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’ Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa, has called on sons and daughters of Edo State to come home and contribute to the development of the state.
The Omo N’Oba made the call when the Chief Executive Officer of ISNO Hotels Limited, Mr. Joseph Eguavoen led other management staff of the hotel on a courtesy visit to the Palace yesterday.
He congratulated Mr. Eguavoen for his initiative and enjoined him to work hard to sustain it. He used the occasion also to call on the Benins to contribute their quotas to the upliftment of the state.
Earlier in an address, Mr. Joseph Eguavoen said the purpose of the visit was to inform the Oba that in compliance with the advice he earlier gave to the indigenes of Edo State to come home to invest in the development of the state, he has succeeded in building a hotel of international standard in Benin City.
He further said that as the Royal Father and custodian of the land, he has come to seek for royal blessing and support before the official opening ceremony on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at No.17 Ikpokpan Road, GRA, Benin City.
Mr. Eguavoen thanked the Oba for the continuous advice to the indigenes of Edo State and the relative peace that the people had witnessed since the Oba ascended the throne.
