BENIN CITY- Edo State Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon. Sylvester Ewanehi has stressed the need for the eradication of cultism from higher institutions and the society at large.
Hon. Ewanehi made this known in a chat with newsmen at the Oba’s Palace yesterday.
The commissioner said those involved in cultism endangered their lives, the lives of their loved ones and also those in the society.
Hon. Ewanehi further said that since he became the Commissioner for Higher Education, he had been doing everything in his power to promote, develop and build more schools with a lot of equipment that would improve the standard of education for the betterment of students and youths.
He added that he had been organizing seminars and campaigns for the youths and urged the students to be educated, which will help in bringing out their potentials and face the challenges of life.
He said that students should take their studies seriously and should shun cultism and other social vices for the development of the country.
