OKADA- Contractors Handling project work awarded by the past Administration in Ovia North East Local Government Area have been invited to appear before the works and Housing committee of Ovia North East Local Government legislative Arm today Wednesday, October 8 at 11 am at the council secretariat at Okada.

This invitation is coming in the wake of the committee’s inspection and assessment tour of projects abandoned by contractors in the area.

A statement issued by the committee chairman, Hon. (Sir.) Benson Edogiawerie Osahon said contractors expected to appear before its committee included Ebla Construction Company Ltd, Peter Osifo and sons and contractor handling Igue-Ogie primary school, Igue Ogie village, Elinso primary school, Idumwenhigie and Aghonokpe/Ugbuwe Electrostriction project.

Hon. Osahon stated that the present administration of Faustine Ovenrioba would not entertain abandoned project and urged all contractors awarded one project or the other to work according to specification and within the time limit.

He commended the chairman of the council for his developmental strides especially in awarding 20 projects that would touch the lives of the people in the area such as the provision of Electricity, markets, Health Centres, roads and renovation of falling roofs and blocks of schools in the area and also in the area of youth and women empowerment .
