BENIN CITY –The Edo State Technical Support Group on Niger Delta, which was recently inaugurated by the State Governor, with the mandate to collate studies that had been carried out on Niger Delta, including reports of commissions, committees, conferences, seminars and workshops, with a view to coming up with Edo State position of these recommendations which are to be forwarded to the National Technical Committee on Niger Delta, has called for memoranda from interested members of the public, corporate bodies, religious organizations, non-governmental organizations, community based organizations, professional bodies and associations, traditional rulers, and members of academic communities.
A press statement signed by the chairman of the Edo State Technical Support Group on Niger Delta, Prof. F.E. Iyoha, stated that such memoranda should be addressed to, “The Secretary, Edo State Technical Support Group on Niger Delta, Old Exco Chamber, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Government House, Benin City.
According to the statement, such memoranda, should reach the above address not later than October 10, 2008.
