BENIN CITY – The Odionwere of Ulemon Ewuare Community, Iyeke-Ogba in Oredo Local Government Area, Pa Uyiekpen Ali has called on land speculators in the area to steer clear of the community’s land, warning anybody who does any land transaction without the authorized committee does so at his or her own risk.

The Odionwere gave this warning last weekend in his palace in an enlarged meeting of all sons and daughters of the community at Ulemon Ewuare.

He condemned the activities of some people in the area who wanted to use their influence to encroach on the land/reserve of the community without the proper constituted authority, stressing that the state government should involve the constituted authority of the community when returning the forest reserve taken from the community in the early 1930s.

He hoped that the process of returning the forest reserve would soon be completed.

He called on both the state and local government to come to the aid of the community, in the provision of basic amenities to his people such as pipe-borne water, electricity, good roads and schools and urged all indigenes living outside the state and abroad, to come home and contribute their quota to the development of their community.

Pa Ali said for the avoidance of doubt, Pa Ogbele Ale, Pa Omozusi and Pa John Erinhie remained Elders of the community while Olemon Ewuare Community Development Association has Mr. Benson Ale as Chairman, Mr. Julius Adun, Vice Chairman, Mr. Freeborn Arisabor, Secretary, Mr. Papa Omozusi, Treasurer; Mr. Ikhuenbor E.O. Innocent, Youth Chairman and Mr. Oziegbe Omozusi as Youth Secretary among 13 other members.
