Rotary Club Presents Wheel Chairs To Disabled

The Rotary Club of Auchi Metropolitan District 9140 recently presented wheel chairs to disabled members of the public and some hospitals within and around Auchi Kingdom. The ceremony also witnessed the installation of Rot Okhai Igbafe as the third president of the club as well as the induction of new members.


A release made available to WEEKEND OBSERVER indicated that Awards were given to deserving members who have distinguished themselves. Amongst the beneficiary were Alhaji Yakubu Musa, decorated as the First Paul Haris Fellow (PHF) of the club. Award of Humanitarian services was presented to Alhaji Jafaru Jimoh, the Daudu of Igbei Village. Alhaji Mustapha Oshiobugie was not left out as he too was awarded for selfless service to Auchi Polytechnic and Auchi Kingdom.


The President intimated the new inductees about the Four (4) ways test of the things of the club to include these popular questions: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendship? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?


He said that the answers to the above question if applied profitably in relation with others in the home, community, business, national life, our world will be a better place to live.


Dignitaries that graced the occasion includes the Otaru of Auchi represented by Prince Engr. Azeez Momoh, the Daudu 1 of Auchi Kingdom, the Assistant Governor Zone 13, Rot. Princewill Oyakhilomhe amongst others.
