Former Nigerian international Mutiu Adepoju said the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan would continue to improve in their quest for promotion to the elite Premier League.

Adepoju, now the General Manager of 3SC, said this last Saturday in a post-match interview after the Ibadan side beat Kolu FC of Bayelsa in a National Division One League tie at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

He told reporters that his boys played well in the first half when Ado Mohammed and Bolaji Adekunle scored their goals in the seventh and 33rd minutes.

He said what was more important was the three points which the team collected but assured that they would continue to improve.

His Kolu FC counterpart, Okehism Ebimobowi, said his boys played well although they lost and promised to rectify the lapses in their subsequent games.

Udo Ibeh netted the visitors’ only goal in the 56th minute.

3SC have four points from two games after recording a scoreless draw with Prime FC of Oshogbo in the opening game of the 2008/09 season a week earlier.
