NIM Now Better Positioned - Edeoghon

BENIN CITY - The President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Sir Peter Edeoghon, has said that, NIM under his leadership had gone through numerous reforms and repositioning, to ensure better performance.


He made the remark during a chat with The Nigerian Observer in Benin City, recently.
Sir Edeoghon noted that the institute in order to enhance its efficiency decided to reduce the number of Directorate in the body from three to two, adding that the Directorate of membership which is one of the directorates in the new arrangement was basically designed to reach out to members, so as to be up and doing.


The NIM president stated that the number of chapters of the body in the country had increased since he came on board, just as he noted that the existing partnership between NIM and the NYSC, which allows the institute to train corps members, had received a boost with over twenty-five percent increment in the number of corps members being trained by the institute, which will enhance the fortune of such corps members at the end of their service.


He further stated that as part of efforts to reshape NIM in the six geo-political zones of the country, he visited members of the institute in the zones which had never happened in the history of the body, stressing that the visits will no doubt raise the morale of members of NIM in the zones, as well as serve as a catalyst for new members to come in (join NIM).
