IDOGBO ––The Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Hon. Itohan Osahon, has sued for patience from the people, as Governor Oserhiemen Osunbor tackles the myriad of problems left behind by the immediate past administration in the state.

Mrs. Osahon made the appeal when members of the executive e committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ikpoba Okha chapter, paid her a courtesy visit.

The council chairman observed that virtually every sector suffered abysmal neglect from the last administration in the state, and that it would take some time before the state could be restored to its past glory.

Mrs. Osahon commended the governor for his sincerity of purpose and transparent leadership qualities, adding that the Osunbor administration had become a reference point in purposeful leadership.

The council chairman noted that both urban and rural roads were the worst hit by the ineptitude of the last administration in the state, and commended the courage of Governor Oserheimen Osunbor in tackling the problem head-long.

She also commended Governor Osunbor’s intervention in the education sector through increased subvention to institutions of learning across board, as well as the robust bursary award to students of Edo State origin in institutions of higher learning.

Hon. Osahon described the 15 percent increase in the salaries of workers in the state civil service, regular payment of pensions to senior citizens, car loans to civil servants and teachers, to mention a few, as the hallmark of a leader who genuinely had the interest of the people at heart.

The council boss commended the leadership of the PDP in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area for their unalloyed loyalty to Governor Oserheimen Osunbor, and enjoined them to remain committed to the vision of Governor Osunbor to bring succour to the common man.

Hon. Osahon expressed appreciation to members of the PDP in Ikpoba-Okha for standing solidly behind her during the struggle to reclaim her stolen mandate, and assured that the administration would deliver the dividends of democracy to every segment of Ikpoba-Okha, irrespective of political affiliation.

Earlier in his address, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ikpoba Okha chapter, Mr. Smart Erhabor, said they were at the Council Secretariat to felicitate with Hon. Itohan Osahon on her victory at the local government election Appeal Tribunal.
