Educ Secretaries drum support for Gov Osunbor

EKPOMA- A vote of implicit confidence has been passed on the Governor of Edo State, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor by the National Association of Education Secretaries of Nigeria (NAESECN), Edo State branch. The Association comprises all the Education Secretaries in Edo State.

In a release signed by Mr. V.N. Asiriuwa and Pastor J.O. Momoh, Chairman and Secretary respectively, which was made available to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER, the Association said that judging from the level of developmental projects that had so far been embarked upon by the Governor within a space of one year in office, even the “doubting Thomases” were now convinced that Edo people never made any mistake in voting for Professor Osunbor.

“We want to particularly commend His Excellency for his wonderful and focused resolve in bringing the Education Sector in the state which hitherto has been in shambles, to greater heights.

He has touched the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma; College of Education, Ekiadolor; Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, in fact all the Edo State owned tertiary institutions. There are massive infrastructural developments in all the Primary and Junior Secondary Schools across the state,” the association asserted.

The Association therefore called on all Teachers in Edo State to continue to support the State Chief Executive with their prayers and urged them to ensure that they discharged their duties conscientiously.

They also used the medium to thank the Hon. Commissioner of the Ministry of Basic Education, Barrister Uyi Ogbemudia for her efforts so far in ensuring that teachers were paid regularly and promptly.

The Association equally expressed their thanks to the Governor for the full implementation of the 15% pay rise as approved by the Federal Government.
