ABUJA-Nigeria Football Federation President, Sani Lulu Abdullahi says the Glass House will have no reason to return to former sponsors Globacom, despite mounting pressure.
“We have the utmost regard for the person of Dr Mike Adenuga Jnr and indeed, a number of top officials of Globacom, but we have reached tether’s end on the relationship and there is no going back,” Lulu said in a press statement released by the body’s Chief Media Officer Ademola Olajire.
“There is no doubt that we had issues in the past two years over fulfillment of contract terms and the rest, but we still respect the company’s chieftains and we wish them and the establishment great luck in all their future endeavours and relationships,” Lulu stated.
Secretary General Bolaji Ojo-Oba was even more emphatic in burning the bridges.
“We have prosecuted our programmes and events heartily and happily for seven months of the year, without Globacom’s money. We will continue to do so without the Company’s money until we secure new partners.”
NFF chief media officer Ademola Olajire also said that the Federation was set to sign another landmark partnership agreement in Lagos tomorrow.
