Amputee Football Invitation Tonrney Postponed

LAGOS - Organisers of the Uzbekistan Invitational Amputee Soccer Tournament have postponed the competition, a statement by the Nigerian Amputee Football Federation (NAFF) said at the weekend.

The NAFF statement issued in Lagos did not give any reason for the postponement of the tournament.

The Uzbekistan government had pledged to provide flight tickets for some of the Nigerian players to the tournament.

According to the statement, the tournament is part of the country’s independence anniversary.

“The Cup of Independence of Uzbekistan can not hold this year,” the statement added.

NAFF had planned to take a contingent of 12 players and four officials to the tournament.
