Unimaginable, Shameful Things

By Queeneth Aikhionbare

Sometime ago, we talked about sisters in-law sleeping with their sisters husbands and some people concluded it was better imagined than experienced.

However, some of them told me some shocking stories about real life experiences witnessed by them or person close to them. These are not just unspeakable, they are unimaginable.

Ladies can you imagine your own mother sleeping with your husband while helping to nurse you and your baby after child birth? Well it happened here in Benin City; and I understand it is still happening.
According to the story given by our source, a young lady gave birth and of course, as expected, the mother was requested to come over and help nurse her and the baby through the first two months. In the process of time, the young lady started noticing some strange attitudes in the husband and behold, one day, she caught then red handed in the ‘act’, in her own matrimonial home. She fainted immediately as a result of the shock and neighbours had to come to their rescue. Of course, the question of why she fainted came up and the ugly shameful story had to be narrated.

Nevertheless the matter was settled within; the lady stayed with her husband, and saved her marriage. But her relationship with her mother was severed from that very day. As far as the Lady in question is concerned, she no longer has a mother. What would you do if you were in her shoes? Hm! Sordid story, isn’t? Now, that is by the way.

What do you think of a mother who sleeps with her sons’ friend? I mean, her young sons’ friend. Well, here is the story.

A woman already hitting sixty (60 years), who happens to be the mother of a number of sons and some daughters, suddenly developed the hot for one of her young sons’ friend; and started sleeping with him, unknowing to her children. The young man kept coming to the house even hi the absence of the sons. Eventually, the children became suspicious, and confronted him. They thought he was probably going for one of their younger sisters, but when the young man confessed, they were filled with rage.
But guess what? Their shameless mother was indignant. She berated her children for daring to confront her, and told them to leave her house if they were not ready to accept the situation.
Can you imagine that? Talk about a shameless, loose, “land lady’ of a mother. What would you do, if you were in the children’s shoes? Let me remind you once more that this also happened in Benin.
What about women who cheat on their husbands? Mm hm! Yes, it is no longer news that women cheat on their husbands in this part of the world. The statistics increased at the turn of the new millennium. What makes these cases you are about to read a bit different, is that their husbands were virtually always with them, and the way the women managed to carry-out the act was quite ‘intelligent” and unusual.
In one of the cases, the husband was said to always take the wife to the market in his own car, wait for her in the car to do the shopping, which was always in bulk, and then bring her back home. This lady in question lacked for no material thing. But unknowingly to her husband, whenever she enters the market to shop, she immediately goes out through another gate, on the opposite side of the market, which happens to be on another street, gets on a bus, and goes straight to her lover for their clandestine affair.
Within the hour, she comes back to the market, after the deed is done, to collect her already purchased packages from innocent customers, based on previous arrangements, goes out to meet her waiting, unsuspecting husband who they say always reads newspapers while waiting to take her home. This continued until her husband’s friend caught her with her lover in their prearranged place, and then informed the husband.

Anyway, you can put the rest of the story together. The woman lost out completely.

In another case, it was the husband’s nephew who saw the wife enter a hotel with a strange man. He (the nephew) quickly went inside, found a way to get hold of the woman’s a shoes, went outside to call the husband on a cell phone, asking him to get quickly to the said hotel. The husband actually arrived at the hotel on time, was given his wife’s shoes and told exactly what was happening at the hotel. According to the source, the woman and her lover came out of the hotel ready to raise hell over her missing shoes, when her husband called out to her and equally drew her attention to the shoes he was holding. She broke down immediately and started weeping. To cut the story short, that was the end of the marriage.

Now a more shocking story is that of a brother and sister who were involved in incest for a number of years. They were both matured. The man in question, had two wives. These unsuspecting wives allowed their husband’s sister to come and go freely. The so called sister would go into her brother’s bedroom, and remain in there with him behind locked doors, for supposed discussions.

This sister had the first and then the second baby for her brother and the family became bent on knowing the father of the children even though they had accepted them as illegitimate children. When the heat became too much, she opened up and revealed that her own brother was responsible. This taboo was too much for the entire family. The two wives left the man and the sister was left to bear the guilt and shame, and equally face the responsibility of raising her children alone, since the entire family was totally against the act.

The house was left desolate and till date, it is still like that. This indeed is the abomination that causes desolation.

All these happened here in Benin City and they are unimaginable to any sane human being. But then, as they say different strokes for different folks, “who no go no know”. We pray to God never to find ourselves in such despicable situations.
