Lagos - Former NBA star Michael Jordan still remains influential in basketball in the U.S.
The Jordan brand of sports wear is one of the big names in sports wears and equipment in the U.S.and Europe.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Jordan brand boosted the ongoing Ejike Ugboaja Basketball Camp at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with donations of kits.
In addition to the gifts, seven coaches from the U.S. and Europe are taking part in the camp involving 60 youthful players from all parts of the country.
Camp initiator Ugboaja said the donations from the Jordan brand and the coaching crew from the U.S. had given the camp an international look.
He told NAN on phone that the participation of the foreign coaches was to update the knowledge of players to the latest rules in basketball.
“It is also aimed at giving budding basketball talents the opportunity of exchanging views with the visiting coaches“ he said.
