Development: Benin Monarch Charges Egor LG Chairman

BENIN CITY ––The Benin Monarch, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa has charged the Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Crosby Osadolor Eribo and his team to work hard to move the council area to an enviable height.


Oba Erediauwa gave the charge yesterday when the council chairman led some top officials of his administration on a courtesy visit to the palace.


The Benin Monarch assured the council chairman of his support and that of the palace, adding that the palace would continue to support the administration through prayers and supplications to the ancestors.


Earlier, Hon. Eribo had informed the Benin Monarch that he was in the palace to seek royal blessing and the support of the palace for his administration.


Hon. Eribo told His Royal Majesty that it was not going to be business as usual as he had vowed to correct the past mistakes.


The council boss said that all on-going projects would be completed and assured that his administration would pursue vigorously, the completion of the fence round the Traditional Ground at Uselu.


He also hinted that his administration would collaborate with the state government to ensure that the erosion at the Iyoba Palace road was controlled.


While pledging his loyalty and that of his administration to the palace, Hon. Eribo stated that he was determined to surpass his previous performance in office.


The council chairman was accompanied on the visit by the Vice Chairman, Hon.Nomuobiekpen Igbinosun, Leader of Egor Legislative Assembly, Hon. Bright Omoriyekemwen, the Head of Service, Mr. Ben Omoruyi, Ero, supervisors and other top management staff of the council.
