PARIS-Nigerian midfielder Wilson Oruma has joined the French Second Division side Guingamp after being snubbed by Cardiff City.
The 31-year-old, who was released by Marseille at the end of last season, signed a one-year contract with Guingamp.
Oruma is expected to help Guingamp in their push for a Ligue One place next season.
He returned to France last week after being told he must improve on his fitness to earn a deal with the English side, where he had been on trials.
Oruma joined Marseille three seasons ago from Sochaux and impressed in his first term after making 30 appearances, scoring three goals.
But he struggled in the rest of his stay at the club following the arrival of Valbuena or and Bodo Zenden.
Oruma started his career with Bendel Insurance in Nigeria before trawling Europe with RC Lens, Nancy (loan) and later playing for Samsunspor, Nimes, Servette, Sochaux and Marseille.
