Slow And Steady Wins The Race (2)

By MONDAY ESON

In conferences we can start to tackle one by one the multifarious problems in this country, we would then be hopeful while expecting scientific scholars to transform the country into a scientific society. In conferences we can discuss how to build Nigeria as a peaceful society because we have spent over 46 years talking and addressing issues and cases related to marginalization and  CONSENSUS.

Different regions have taken advantage of the state of confusion during the military regimes and we have left fundamental aspects of our living unadressed. But the good thing about it all is that Democratic system allows for conferences and gives opportunities to air our views and enhances the development geared towards advancement for the satisfaction of all.

This we must do now to give the Nigerian citizen a responsible identity. Through conferences we can discuss our nation, the advantage of oil and gas found as our source of revenue and how Western Economies interfere and affect us. Africa remains the most poverty  stricken continent in the world with twenty three of its countries sitting on the bottom of the United Nations human development index on poverty.

In conferences we can discuss how to build Nigeria to a standard society. In conferences we can look about ourselves considering all our leaders and what we have benefited from the almost ten leaders which we have had in this country and analyse the contributions of each of them and how their methods have affected the average Nigerian.

In conferences we must discuss how to tackle  the violence in the Nigeria’s oil swamps.
In such conference on tacklling Nigeria’s violent oil swamps, we need to stress COOPERATION and COMMITMENT to assisting the new democratic government which is for  all of us to meet the needs of the Nigerian people through contributive suggestions.

We are Nigerians and we know that some Nigerians have suffered from ignorant approaches to human needs and development.

In this country, we have the very rich or the affluent and we have the average as well as the poor and the very poor and mostly those prone to natural hazards such as those living in locations in the far North of Nigeria and those in the far South coastal regions of   Nigeria. In conferences we have the opportunity to discuss. We should all embrace this season of democracy to Nigeria— welcome to Democracy for Nigeria and the Nigerian people. In conferences we must discuss the opportunities available to the Nigerian children and we must discuss the future of our children.

In conferences we talk as Nigerians for the good of Nigeria, our beloved country. In such conferences, all that we need to do is to work together to achieve greatness, this is important for us. In conferences we can reflect on our different thoughts for our father land- Nigeria.

In conferences we can discuss how we can sustain the war against CORRUPTION as an aspect of the war against indiscipline. And to lift Nigerians from poverty, it is necessary and essential for every Nigerian, especially political office holders to adopt the highest standard of behaviour such as love, honesty, patriotism, excellence, sincerity perseverance, service, sacrifice, and a host of other virtues that make a person or groups of people to grow. It is no longer secret that Nigeria loses billions of pounds or multi trillions of naira  of oil money, through illegal deal dealings, we need to find out those who take part in this illegal deals for references and take steps to halt it. This is what the president,       his formidable team, concerned Nigerians both at home and oversea, concerned foreigners in Nigeria and concerned observers are saying! That this is the time for Nigerian Government to build on set goals to move Nigeria forward … That By the time the construction works start in the electricity industry, the road net work, the housing and the water supply and most especially the oil industry based on government’s reform programme, there would be more jobs and we would have reduced tension in the land and our able bodied ones would not be running to other overseas countries when what is available in their own country is the same like in the  other so-called advanced nations. And the funny thing about it is that Nigeria is likely to be the richest country in the world … if not you can discuss it …..

There is no particular race in the Niger Delta according to excerpts from Mr. Inko –Tarias responses, the Africa race in the Niger Delta region that are not, also Nigerians. The fact that oil is found in the Niger- Delta zone could be equated to the coal found in the Eastern zones and the uranium that had not yet been developed in the northern Sahara zone, or the lot’s of silver deposited in the forest reserves of the western zone, so for further explanation, we have said before in our discussions that oil deposits from a point of scientific discourse occurs from decay of materials of hundreds of years ago and for the control needed of the Southern dwellers, must be by government mandate, All  that the Niger Delta dwellers can do for the entire population is to participate officially and not by violence to oversee activities going on in the region, a kind  of surveillance on  foreign companies, intrusion and over exploitation is  only to their advantage
